Text: Of course, your trip to Paris isn't complete without making a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Also, make sure to take a glimpse of the tower at night. During the first 10 minutes of every hour, the tower twinkles with thousands of flashing bright lights.
Para completar tu vista a París, tienes que ir sin falta a visitar la Torre Eiffel. Ve al atardecer o ya de noche, y durante los 10 primeros minutos de cada hora, se iluminará hasta deslumbrarte con tan bonita estampa.

Text: Place Vendôme is a square in the 1st arrondissement of Paris located to the north of the Tuileries Gardens and east of the Église de la Madeleine. Its regular architecture and pedimented screens canted across the corners give the rectangular Place Vendôme the aspect of an octagon. Napoleon erected the present column to celebrate the victory of Austerlitz.
El monumento fue erigido por orden de Napoleón,para celebrar su victoria en la batalla de Austerlitz.Para construirla se fundieron 1200 cañones capturados a los ejércitos Ruso y Austriaco. Está decorado con bajorrelieves que representan las tropas. Tiene una altura de 44 metros y está inspirado en la Columna de Trajano.

Text: Seen from the exterior, the building appears to be High Gothic. Notable features include the profusion of colonnettes and tracery screens, the horizontal and vertical ordering of the facades, the imposing size of the rose windows.
En la Edad Media, todos los vanos de Notre-Dame tenían vidrieras magníficas. Todo fue destruido en el siglo XVIII, excepto tres grandes rosetones, de excepcional calidad.

Text: Maurice de Sully, bishop of Paris, decided to build a new cathedral for the expanding population, dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
Esta catedral de estilo gótico data de principios del siglo XII, fue construida a partir del proyecto de Pierre de Montreuil y Maurice de Sully. La primera piedra se colocó en el año de 1163, y su construcción se terminó en 1330. Mide 130m de largo, 48m de ancho y 35m de alto.

Basilica of the Sacred Heart

Text: Started to being built in 1875 it was not completed until 1914 and it was not consecrated until 1919. This Basilica, in Romano-Byzantine style, was build to accomplish a vow made in consequence of the extreme need of France and of the Church in 1870. Despite the obstacles encountered by the builders, work was brought thanks to a law passed by the National Assembly.
La primera piedra se colocó en 1875, y aunque se completó en 1914, no se consagró hasta el fin de la Primera Guerra Mundial, en 1919. La iglesia fue construida con la participación directa del gobierno de la Tercera República. El estilo arquitectónico es romano y bizantino e influyó en otros edificios religiosos del siglo XX.

Text: The avenue runs 3 km through the 8th arrondissement in northwestern Paris, from the Place de la Concorde in the east, with its obelisk, to the Place Charles de Gaulle in the west, location of the Arc de Triomphe. The Champs-Elysées forms part of the line of the Axe historique. The name refers to the Elysian Fields, the place of the blessed in Greek mythology.
Los Campos Elíseos, en francés Les Champs-Elysées, es la mayor avenida de París. Va desde el Arco del Triunfo hasta la Plaza de la Concordia. El nombre Campos Elíseos viene de la mitología griega, donde designaba la morada de los muertos, reservada a las almas virtuosas, el equivalente del paraíso cristiano inventado posteriormente.

Vista de la Piramide y los estanques que la reflejan, mirando hacia el Pabellón Richelieu. Es un conjunto mucho mas gtande, con tres lados de edificios correspondientes al Museo, y otro con el Arco de Carrousel, los Jardines de las Tullerías, La Concordia. El museo posee 60000 m2 de salas de exposición consagradas a la conservación de objetos de 11 milenios de civilización y de cultura.
